German JagdTiger
German Tank Killer Jagdtiger (Sd.Kfz.186)

This is one of the last Jagdtigers manufactured. Notice the reinforcing ribs on the front fenders.
It had a towing attachment that was different mounted squarly in the center of the rear glacis.
It also has the later three sets of tracks per side of the superstructure.
This vehicle was delivered to the Soviets and these photos were taken during trials at Kublinka.
The vehicle now resides in Kublinka museum.

This vehicle was demolished by it's crew. It belonged to the third company of SpzJgrAbt 653.

This is another vehicle of SpzJgrAbt 653 that has been demolished by it's crew.
This vehicle is one of the nine vehicles that have a Porsche suspension.
The large PAK 80/L55 128mm has been knocked out of it's mounting and the barrel and mantlet hurled off.
The PAK 80/L55 128mm had formerly been known as the PAK 44/L55,
but the designation changed about the time they were being installed on Jagdtigers.

This is the third Jagdtiger manufactured. It was used for testing and had the Porsche suspension.
It had a very distinctive machinegun hull mount.
Also of note, only the Porsche suspensioned tanks recieved zimmerit,
as the application of zimmerit was discontinued, then it was authorized but never continued.
This view of the tank has the standard battle tracks.
The area behind the mantlet on the superstructure was also different than production vehicles
and is like what is seen at with the fourth vehicle produced which is now at Bovington museum.

This is another view of of the the third Jagdtiger produced.

This is another view of the third tank produced,
but notice that the standard combat tracks have been changed out,
and tracks for the Elefant are now installed.

This is one of two Jagdtigers of SpzJgrAbt 653 that were disabled(this one by running into a ditch) after an attack by aircraft.
The other had it's suspenion disabled by a rocket.

Yet again another view of the third tank produced and with the Elefant tracks.
Along with the tracks can be seen the different idler and drive sprocket.
The Porsche suspension can be clearly seen at this time.
It was similar to what was on the Elefant where two wheels were on a common suspension together
and this was mounted to a single torsional external mount.
Also about half of the earlier Jagdtigers had only two sets of tracks on the superstructure.
