Monster Maxx 550 17 turns
besides the new brushles motor's this is probably the best choice for that "mega-Monster".
This pro-motor is rated at 14.4 Volt ( 12 cell's ! ) and with that longer armature ( 550type)
a real powerhouse .
Bearings , adjustable timing and replaceable brushes , makes this motor worth it's money .
This motor is also available in a 19 and 21 turn version .
Unfortunately is so far only one reversible ESC on the market to handle the 14.4 volts ,
Novak's EVX ( used in the newer E-maxx ).
Since I personal don't like that EVX to much ( I am missing the smooth acceleration ,
like from a Truck-ESC ) I bean using these Motor's just with 10 cell's 12 volt
and with Novak's Super Rooster .
Fist time I tested these motor's in my good old Clod Buster .
Dam , you are talking about some power ! Awesome ...
don't forget when you compare these chart's
the Monster Maxx 550 was only testet with 7.5 volt !!
and it's already more powerfull as the Monster 550 ,
now think you pump 14.4 volts in this baby and maybe even advance the timing a little !!!!
But it also show's that this motor can be used where high torque is needed ,
but not the RPM's , in that case to run this motor only with a 6 cell pack .
That's why I also love this motor for my Tamiya-semi-tractors
